Non-Surgical Body Contouring FAQs

Q: What is Non-surgical Body Contouring?

A: Non-surgical body contouring refers to procedures that are less invasive, allowing you to walk in and walk out of your appointment. You will be awake during your procedure and will not need to take time off from your schedule for recovery. Coastal Cosmetic Center offers two different non-surgical contouring options:

CoolSculpting eliminates stubborn fat safely and effectively, without surgery or downtime. This fat reduction treatment is the only FDA-cleared procedure to use controlled cooling to safely target and eliminate diet- and exercise-resistant fat.

SculpSure uses light-based technology to destroy up to 24% of treated fat in problem areas such as the abdomen and love handles.

Body Sculpting in Jacksonville & Fleming Island, FLQ: Who is a candidate?

A: Ideal candidates for nonsurgical contouring are in overall good health and are looking for a less invasive procedure with no downtime. Ideal candidates for SculpSure should be within 10-15 pounds of your goal weight. Ideal candidates for CoolSculpting should be within 30 pounds of your goal weight. The best candidates have pockets of diet-and-exercise-resistant fat that they want to remove.

Q: What can I expect after a non-surgical contouring procedure?

A: Coastal Cosmetic center offers non-surgical contouring procedures that create minimal trauma to the skin and surrounding tissue. There is usually minimal to no bruising or swelling associated. Keep in mind individual experiences and results will vary. Those who easily bruise have a higher potential to experience some bruising and/or swelling. The expected bruising is minimal and will dissipate within a few days.

Q: What results can I expect from a non-surgical contouring procedure?

A: Results for non-surgical contouring can be seen in a few months. While many patients see sufficient improvement in one treatment, others see the best results after a series of treatments spaced weeks apart. One of the best advantages of non-surgical contouring is that you can continue to see improvements and results with healthy lifestyle changes like good nutrition and exercise. After your results develop, if you are interested in further contouring target areas of your shape, you can always choose to have additional treatments
