DJ – Insurance Specialist

Born and raised in upstate New York, moved to Virginia Beach, then followed family to Jacksonville. Have 15 years experience in the medical field as a biller and coder (Certified Procedure Coder), currently attending Virginia College for Associates in Medical Office Management.

Have 4 children, 8 Grand Children, 3 Great Grand Children and one more on the way.

I enjoy crafts and redoing old furniture

Sarah Jones – Patient Coordinator

Sarah is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. Sarah has always had a passion for the medical field and recently completed
nursing school with a 4.0 GPA. She expects to take the State Board of Nursing exam in early February to receive her
license as an RN. She hopes to remain a member of the Coastal family as an RN in the operating room or recovery
room.

In her spare time, Sarah loves to fish. She even met her fiance 25 miles out in the ocean on a fishing boat! They plan
on getting married in October of 2012. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and country music.

Sarah has been with Coastal Cosmetic Center for four years and has held various positions, including front office and surgical coordinating. She truly loves being a part of the Coastal team and seeing patients progress from their initial
consult to post-op appointments.

Julie A. Burr, EMT-B – Surgery Scheduler

Julie was born in Ohio and moved to Florida at a very young age with her family. After serving 4 years in the Navy, she
decided to remain here in Jacksonville in the medical field. She is a huge sports fan of all types and loves to ride her
Harley Davidson on the weekends.

Julie is an EMT and has been with the Coastal Cosmetic family for 3 years. She is our surgical coordinator and would

Cathy – Reception

Cathy was born & raised on Long Island, NY and moved to Jacksonville in 2009 to be with family. She has worked in the medical field for 12 years in various roles. She is also a licensed cosmetologist and certified esthetician, having graduated from Central Carolina College.

Cathy is always available to answer any questions you may have and will work hard to make sure your experience at Coastal Cosmetic Center is the finest it can be.

Cathy enjoys exercising. She also enjoys watching baseball and football, but occasionally forgets where she is, as she still roots for the Yankees and Giants!

Cheri – Billing Manager

Cheri is a native of Jacksonville and has been with Coastal Cosmetic Center as Billing Manager for six years.

She has four grown children and a beautiful grandaughter.

She enjoys the beach, reading and her yorkinese Lucy. Cheri recently married her best friend and they love traveling and adore the Jaguars!

Cyndi – Practice Administrator

Cyndi is a “Southern” native. Although she was born in Atlanta, she has lived all over the south and has called Fleming Island her home since 2001. Outdoor activities, cooking, traveling, reading and spending time with her 3 wonderful children and husband of 22 years are her favorite pastimes. With over 20 years of experience working in the medical field, Cyndi is proud to call Coastal Cosmetic Center her “home away from home”. She joined the group as the Practice Administrator in July 2010. Cyndi believes that our superior customer service and excellent patient care are what set us apart from other practices in the area. Julie

Julie was born in Ohio and moved to Florida at a very young age with her family. After serving 4 years in the Navy, she decided to remain in Jacksonville in the medical field. She is currently in school to become a paramedic with hopes of later assisting with the patients post surgery. Julie enjoys helping patients with any questions or concerns they may have regarding their appointments or upcoming surgeries. Pat – Director of Nursing, Coastal Surgery Center

Pat has is the Director of Nursing for the Coastal Surgery Center, working for Coastal Cosmetic Center for over 11 years. Her 22 years of nursing experience allow her to provide the absolute best patient care in the preoperative setting.

Pat has lived in Jacksonville her entire life, but loves to get away to the mountains. She has 3 children and 12 grandchildren. Spending time with her friends and family is truly special to Pat.

Pat loves dancing, swimming and sports. Her favorite teams are the Braves, Jaguars and Gators!

Tammy – Medial Assistant

Tammy grew up in Eugene, Oregon and moved to Jacksonville in 1987. She has been a Medical assistant for 20 years and joined the Coastal Cosmetic Center team 6 years ago. Tammy is married and has one married son and, so far, one grandson.

Tammy really enjoys seeing the post-op patients with the Doctors and will try to answer all your post-op questions.

Viola – Surgical Technologist

Viola, born and raised in Texas, moved to Florida in 2001 after high school. She loves Florida, but still longs for the yellow rose of Texas. She has 3 beautiful children who fill her free time away from work here at Coastal Cosmetic Center, and even coaches her daughter’s cheerleading team!

Viola loves the fall, because that means COLLEGE FOOTBALL! Some, but not all I’m sure, of her favorite teams are the Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Viola loves to start her day with a nutritious breakfast of Apple Juice and Peanut M&Ms!?!

Viola loves working at Coastal Cosmetic Center as a surgical scrub technologist. All the surgeons keep her on her toes in the operating room, and have taught her a great deal about plastic surgery procedures. She especially loves working with the patients during their surgery and recovery period.

Esther – Scrub Tech

Esther works as a scrub tech at Coastal Cosmetic Center. She is originally from Haiti, but has lived in the United States for 18 years. While Esther misses her family and friends back in Haiti, she says that the patients and staff at Coastal Cosmetic Center are so amazing that she feels right at home.

When Esther is not assisting in surgery, she loves to watch soccer and enjoys the beach, even though she says “the great beaches are in Haiti”. In the words of Esther “Je te manques Haiti” which means I miss you Haiti! She is also fluent in French!

Desiree – Nurse

Desiree is the pre-operative nurse at Coastal Cosmetic Center. She is a Jacksonville native and grew up in the beaches area. She received her BSN from Jacksonville University School of Nursing and her O.R. training from Baptist Medical Center. Desiree has over 13 years of experience working as an O.R./Preoperative nurse and joined Coastal Cosmetic Center in the spring of 2011.

Desiree is the proud mother of a son who is a surf photographer. When she is not helping her patients, she enjoys spending time at the beach and surfing and also considers herself an animal lover.

Lauren Tierney – Licensed Aesthetician

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Lauren moved from the Northeast to Jacksonville in 1999 and has call Florida home since then. She is a board certified Aesthetician and certified permanent makeup specialist.
