Why HydraFacial MD® Treatments Are So Popular in Jacksonville, FL

HydraFacial MD® in Jacksonville & Fleming Island, FLThe residents of Jacksonville, FL are lucky to be living where many vacation. With so many beautiful nearby beaches and warm year-round weather, it can be impossible to stay inside for too long. However, with increased exposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays comes many risks, one being the advanced aging of the skin due to skin damage. While wearing hats, sunglasses, and applying sunscreen to exposed skin before we leave the house is always encouraged, sometimes these precautions just aren’t enough. Luckily, HydraFacial MD® treatments are rapidly increasing in popularity due to their ability to reverse the effects of skin damage.

What Is HydraFacial MD®?

A non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment, HydraFacial MD® works to reverse skin damage by removing dead skin, clearing out pores, and hydrating the skin. The treatment claims to be more successful than many other skin maintenance treatments due to its 4-in-1 Vortex Technology™.

How Does the HydraFacial MD® Work?

The 4-in-1 Vortex Technology™ employs the use of a single device, whose tip is changed between steps, to complete the four stages of a HydraFacial® treatment. During the first exfoliation stage, the device’s tip will glide across your skin, using a gentle vacuum to strip the outer layer of skin, along with any accumulated sebum and dirt. After the skin is exfoliated and cleaned, the tip will infuse the skin with a serum mixed with salicylic and glycolic acid to loosen dirt, dead skin, and sebum lodged even deeper in the pores. They are then vacuumed up, and the skin is hydrated and soothed with a serum containing honey and spirea ulmaria flower extracts. Patients can also add the DermaBuilder™ to this step if they’d like to infuse the pores with wrinkle reducing serums consisting of several peptides. After the pores are finally cleaned, the last serum containing hyaluronic acid, vitamins A and E, white tea, horse chestnut, and rosemary extracts is applied to the skin to plump it up and protect it from free radicals.
