What is BOTOX Cosmetic?
BOTOX Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines between the eyebrows and moderate to severe crow’s feet lines in adults.
What areas can be treated?
The areas of your face that can be treated with BOTOX include the area between your eyes of your frown, forehead area and where you may have crows feet.
How long do the results last?
The results will be noticeable 24-48 hours after treatment with the maximum effect noticeable in 30 days. The results tend to last three to four months.
Do the injections hurt?
At Coastal Cosmetic Center, our patients are provided with a frozen gel pack prior to their treatment to provide some numbing. In general, injections in the facial area feel like a quick pinch.
What can I expect from results? Will I look fake?
You should not expect to lose the ability to make expressions. When you are treated by a medical professional that is an expert in anatomy, your result should be noticeable improvement in the appearance of wrinkles, but retain the ability to make facial expressions.
What are common side effects?
Three percent of patients experienced eyelid drooping in the frown lines studies and 1% of patients experienced eyelid swelling in the crow’s feet studies. Other possible side effects include: dry mouth; discomfort or pain at the injection site; tiredness; headache; neck pain; eye problems: double vision, blurred vision, decreased eyesight and dry eyes; and allergic reactions. These are not all of the possible serious side effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic.
Who will administer my treatment?
At Coastal Cosmetic Center, only one of our board certified plastic surgeon will administer your BOTOX treatment.
How much does BOTOX cost?
Pricing is determined by how many units are need for your treatment area. BOTOX is sold in units of 10. Typically, BOTOX at Coastal Cosmetic Center runs $12-$14 per unit. We also often hold BOTOX parties that offer special pricing.
What is the Brilliant Distinctions Program?
