Facelift
in Jacksonville, FL
Age, gravity, and sun exposure can take a toll on your skin, leaving you with wrinkles, jowls, and sagging that make you appear older than you feel. A Facelift performed at Coastal Cosmetic Center by our Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Timothy E. Fee and Dr. Jordan A. Bilezikian can help restore a more youthful, refreshed appearance. This transformative procedure tightens and smooths the skin, eliminating signs of aging while enhancing your natural beauty.
What is a Facelift?
A Facelift is a surgical procedure that is used to reverse visible signs of aging of the face, including lines and wrinkles, as well as skin laxity. Facelifts are customized for each patient and are performed to create a natural, younger-looking appearance.
To get the best results, other procedures are frequently performed at the same time including:
- CoolPeel® CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing
- Eyelid Surgery
- Brow Lift
- Lip Lift
- Ear Lobe Reductions
- Facial Fat Transfer

What Are the Benefits of a Facelift?
A Facelift can address loose and sagging skin, jowling, facial lines and wrinkles, as well as a loss of definition in the chin. Facial muscles and skin will be toned and tightened, leaving you with a confident, youthful, and refreshed looking face.
Who is an Ideal Candidate for a Facelift?
Ideal candidates for a Facelift include patients who have loose facial skin, deep creases and wrinkles, and sagging skin on the neck, chin, and jawline.
What is a Mini Facelift?
Some people have signs of aging, but do not need as comprehensive of a procedure as a Full Facelift. A Mini Facelift is often selected for such patients as it is less invasive than a Full Facelift, and it often targets the lower half of the face. A Mini Facelift tightens and removes skin laxity, and mild jowling from the chin and neck regions.
What is the Procedure for a Facelift?
Incisions are strategically placed for minimal exposure. They are hidden in the natural contours of your face and are typically located under the chin, behind the ears, and along the hairline. Then, excess skin is removed. The underlying muscles of the face are tightened and the remaining overlying skin is smoothed and tightened, which leaves patients with a defined facial contour. Facelift procedures usually last two to three hours depending on the other adjuncts that may need to be included for optimal results.

Where Will My Facelift be Performed?
At Coastal Cosmetic Center, Facelifts are performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia at our nationally accredited on-site surgery facility, Coastal Surgery Center, in Jacksonville, FL.
What is the Recovery for a Facelift?
Facelifts should only be scheduled when you have planned the proper amount of time to heal. Patients can expect to experience bruising, swelling, numbness, and a tight feeling during the post-operative recovery period. These side effects should diminish within two weeks, at which time most patients will be able to return to work. Facelift patients can also expect some additional physical limitations during the early healing period.
How Much Does a Facelift Cost?
Each procedure is individualized and customized so that every patient can look as young as they feel. All applicable costs for your surgery will be discussed during your initial consultation. To get the best results, other procedures are frequently performed at the same time including: CoolPeel® CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing, Eyelid Surgery, Brow Lift, Lip Lift, Ear Lobe Reductions, or Facial Fat Transfer.
