Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)
in Jacksonville, FL
Brachioplasty, often called an Arm Lift, is a cosmetic procedure to eliminate loose, sagging skin under the arms. This helps to reshape the underarm and improve body contours when diet and exercise just isn’t enough. Losing weight is a great accomplishment, but excess hanging skin can dampen the satisfaction of your results and hard work. Our Plastic Surgeons at Coastal Cosmetic Center, Timothy E. Fee, MD, and Jordan A. Bilezikian, MD, offer brachioplasty to patients who want to tighten their upper arms, improve their body image, and have the slim upper arms that they desire.

What is a Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)?
Age, genetics, and weight loss can all contribute to arms that have sagging skin and lack definition. An arm lift will tighten the skin, as well as remove excess fat from the upper arm area. The scar is concealed on the inside of the arm crease. The results will allow you to confidently wear clothing that shows off a youthful, slim shaped set of arms.
What Are the Benefits of a Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)?
An arm lift provides long-lasting results that will bolster confidence in your appearance, thus improving your self-image. An arm lift can give you the sleek, toned arms you desire by removing loose skin and fat that are there from genetics or left over from extreme weight loss.
Who is an Ideal Candidate for a Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)?
The ideal candidates for brachioplasty are healthy individuals who have excess skin sagging under the upper arms due to major weight loss or age and genetics.
What is the Procedure for a Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)?
Arm lift surgery is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia at the Coastal Cosmetic Center’s on-site nationally accredited surgery center in Jacksonville, FL. Our expert Plastic Surgeons will remove excess skin, fat, and soft tissue from the elbow to the armpit in the underarm area. The skin will then be pulled tight and stitches are placed in multpile layers to hold everything together. Some times a drain is left to decrease the chances of a fluid collection building up. Depending on the amount of tissue that needs to be removed, this surgery lasts around two to three hours.
What is the Recovery for a Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)?
To encourage the proper skin contour and best healing possible, arm compression garments will need to be worn during the recovery period. Patients can expect some bruising and swelling initially but will be able to resume strenuous exercise and activities within 4-8 weeks when everything is completely healed.
