Who is an Ideal Candidate for IPL Photofacial?
Anyone wanting to correct their complexion with a non-invasive option like pulse light therapy. Ideal patients must have a skin tone Fitzpatrick level 1-3 (this is a baseline lighter overall complexion). If you have a darker complexion, IPL may not work for you as it can change the complexion of the skin to a lighter one. However, if it is a good match for your skin tone, there is no age restriction as to when you can be treated. When Will I See the Results of an IPL Photofacial?
IPL is typically done in a series of 3 treatments. After your first treatment the pigmented spots will darken within 24 hours to 5 days, then shed off over the next 2-4 weeks. Multiple series are needed for optimal and long-term brightening effects.
