Neck Lift
in Jacksonville, FL

The neck area is one of the first places to display signs of aging, including wrinkles and sagging skin. The loss of a youthful chin and neck angle can be a source of personal distress to many people. Dr. Timothy E. Fee and Dr. Jordan A. Bilezikian offer Neck Lifts for people who want to to be restored to a more slender and smooth appearing neck.

What is a Neck Lift?

A Neck Lift is a surgical procedure that helps to improve the appearance of the neck and jawline. With age, skin can begin to sag and banding can form.  Wrinkles can become more pronounced, and a double chin and/or jowls may form with time. A Neck Lift tightens and tones the area underneath the chin, giving patients a well-defined jawline that gives them a youthful appearance.

What Are the Benefits of a Neck Lift?

A neck lift can reverse the sign of aging in the neck region. A Neck Lift tightens and tones the skin, eliminating the feared double chin and turkey waddle neck deformities. A Neck Lift may even prevent the need for a Facelift for some patients.

Who is an Ideal Candidate for a Neck Lift?

Ideal candidates for a Neck Lift include people who have loose and sagging skin in the neck region and who desire to remove fat and tighten the neck skin to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and banding.

What is the Procedure for a Neck Lift?

Neck Lifts are performed as an outpatient procedure, under general anesthesia at Coastal Cosmetic Center’s Nationally accredited on-site surgical facility, Coastal Surgery Center, in Jacksonville, FL. During a Neck Lift, our Plastic Surgeons makes several tiny incisions along the neck to access the muscles and fat layers. Fat is removed, and the muscles are tightened to eliminate banding across the neck. Excess fat is removed via liposuction and excess skin is removed, if needed.  The incisions are then closed with sutures and dressed with a compression bandage to hold the newly conformed neck in place. Surgery can last anywhere from one to two hours depending on the extent of correction needed.

What is the Recovery for a Neck Lift?

The compression bandage should be worn for at least a week to support healing and prevent neck strain. You should also avoid excessive neck movement for at least two weeks following surgery. Results are immediate and become more defined with time.

How Much Does a Neck Lift Cost?

All procedures are unique to each individual patients, so costs will vary. All applicable costs will be discussed during your initial consultation with your Plastic Surgeon at Coastal Cosmetic Center.
