They say the eyes are the window to the soul. Droopy, sagging, or puffy eyelid skin makes a vast difference in your appearance, or even impair your vision. Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, rejuvenates the eye area, creating a more youthful, awake look. It also helps to restore vision for those whose sight is impaired by sagging eyelids.
Surgery is available to correct both the upper and lower eyelid areas. This outpatient procedure is performed under general anesthesia at Coastal Cosmetic Center’s nationally accredited surgery center in Jacksonville, FL. When performing eyelid surgery on a patient, the surgeon will need access to the underlying tissues in the region. To this end, tiny incisions will be made. Lower eyelids will require either a transcutaneous incision on the outside of the lid or a transconjunctival incision on the inside of the lid. The upper eyelids require a small incision on the natural crease line that appears at the top of the lid. Generally, this surgery takes less than three hours to complete.
With today’s options and innovations, gaining a more youthful, healthy look with eyelid surgery is easier than you think. Discuss your specific questions and goals from your eyelid surgery in your Consultation. Visualize your results with our New Look Now Visualizer.
If you would like to learn more about these procedures, please contact us to schedule an appointment. At your initial consultation, a Coastal Cosmetic Center medical team member will be able to address your questions and these sensitive issues with care and experience.
