What is a Mini Facelift?
Some people have signs of aging, but do not need as comprehensive of a procedure as a Full Facelift. A Mini Facelift is often selected for such patients as it is less invasive than a Full Facelift, and it often targets the lower half of the face. A Mini Facelift tightens and removes skin laxity, and mild jowling from the chin and neck regions.
What Are the Benefits of a Mini Facelift?
A Mini Facelift can address similar areas as a Full Facelift like loose and sagging skin, jowling, facial lines and wrinkles, as well as a loss of definition in the chin. Facial muscles and skin can be lifted and tightened, leaving you with a more youthful appearance with smaller incisions and less surgery than a Full Facelift.

Who is an Ideal Candidate for a Mini Facelift?
Ideal candidates for a Mini Facelift include patients who have loose facial skin, moderate creases and wrinkles, and sagging skin on the neck, chin, and jawline.
What is the Procedure for a Mini Facelift?
Small incisions are strategically placed under the chin, sometimes near the ear, and possibly in the hairline. Excess fat is removed, underlying tissues are tightened, and excess overlying skin is smoothed and tightened. This allows each patient to have a restored facial contour definition. Mini Facelift procedures last for a shorter period of time than a Full Facelift, depending on the other adjuncts that may need to be included for optimal results.
Where will my Mini Facelift be Performed?
At Coastal Cosmetic Center, Mini Facelifts are performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia at our nationally accredited on-site surgery facility, Coastal Surgery Center, in Jacksonville, FL.
What is the Recovery for a Mini Facelift?
Mini Facelifts should only be scheduled when you have planned the proper amount of time to heal. The recovery time is generally quicker than a Full Facelift, but patients can still expect to experience some bruising, swelling, numbness, and a tight feeling during the post-operative recovery period. These side effects should diminish within two weeks, at which time most patients will be able to return to work.
