The procedure takes place in-office. A small amount of local anesthetic will be applied to the area being treated to ward off any discomfort throughout the procedure. Dr. Fee will then use a device that delivers radiofrequency energy to the area being treated, including the labia minora and the labia majora. The energy contours and shrinks these specific areas to give you your desired result. Votiva can also be used in addition to your treatment to give you an all-around vaginal rejuvenation.
After the procedure, it’s normal to experience swelling and redness in the treated area. You may also notice some peeling in the outer tissue. These symptoms will typically resolve on their own in the first few days. Most patients notice their swelling or discomfort is gone in the first week.
Results for this procedure are not immediate, but you will see enhancements to your genitalia after the first week. It may take up to six months to see a full improvement in your functionality and appearance.
